About Me
Hi there!
My name is Angel, and I am a 22-year-old creative currently based in Chicago, IL. I graduated from Northwestern University with a Bachelor of Science in Journalism and minored in Dance. My love for all things creative has steered me toward pursuing a number of passions. I am a writer, dancer, choreographer, photographer, and costume/hair/makeup designer. Many of these passions, I began dabbling in as a kid and have since devoted much time to honing my skills and talents. In terms of writing, I write primarily fiction but also have experience as a blog writer and as a journalist. You can view my full resume on the page titled as such.
In addition to 19 years (and counting) of dance training, I have been choreographing for roughly nine years and have taught ballet to a variety of ages for the past six years. My training is largely in classical ballet. However, I have diversified my dance vocabulary since coming to college to now include Modern, Hiphop, Musical Theatre, AfroCuban, and Circus Movement. While dance has always been my primary passion, my interest and experience in theatre from the technical lens has grown significantly in the past few years. My primary focuses within the theatre realm include choreography/movement, costume design, and makeup/hair design.
I love creating and capturing emotion, especially joy. It is this that drives me to continue experimenting and exploring in these diverse areas.
